- Depends on what other modems you need to connect to. If you connect
- only to modems you know support V.FC, and you are having good luck
- with your current modem with those connects, then you are OK to stick with
- your V.FC modem -- you most likely would not see much difference in
- performance. Specifically, if you connect almost exclusively with a single
- place, such an an ISP, and all their modems support V.FC, and you getting
- good connects, then there is probably not much to be gained.

- As you know, most current 28.8 modems are V.34. Most support V.FC, but
- some do not (Motorola for example). If you want to connect to Moto
- modems, your modem would drop down to the next common protocol
